Whether you are just moving to Detroit or you’ve been here for generations, this season is all about showing up and celebrating the community.

To help you navigate the chaos, here is your essential summer survival guide for 2026.

Woodward Dream Cruise (August 15)

Classic steel and roaring engines take over Woodward Avenue. Whether you’re a gearhead or just love the spectacle, the Dream Cruise is a Detroit rite of passage. Grab a lawn chair and watch decades of automotive history roll by.
